Christmas Pop!

Hi Popcorn Family! My next pop will be on Thursday, December 19th and all bags will feature the Christmas label shown below. Quick reminder: Small & Large bags will stay fresh for at least 4 weeks. Also, I do plan on popping in January but I'm not exactly sure when yet. Having said that, I will continue to pop on Thursdays for the foreseeable future.

Trees, Cheese, and Floors (Oh My!)

On Friday, September 27th, our house was hit by the remnants of Hurricane Helene. We had a total of 7 trees down on the property including this one on our house.

Tree on House

We were without power for over 72 hours but overall we feel ourselves to be very lucky. It could have been a lot worse.

Our cheese popcorn customers may have noticed the cheese flavor changed (slightly) a couple poppings ago. We did some detective work and it turns out the manufacturer changed their cheese recipe without informing their customers. When a majority of their customers complained, they reverted back to their original recipe. So starting with the next pop, we'll be back to the original (and better) recipe.

Finally, I want to give a shout out to Abbey at GFC Concrete Coatings. Based in Centerville, Abbey was a big help while we were completing a DIY finishing of the floor of our popcorn garage. We are very pleased with our results! Come check out the floor when you pick up your popcorn!

Beginning of Season Update - We're Back!

Hi Popcorn Lovers! We've missed you! As you may recall, we moved to Springboro back in October. Our new address for picking up your order is 89 W Lytle 5 Points Rd, Springboro OH. Please be careful when pulling in the driveway as it is only a single lane wide. There will be plenty of space to turn around once you've reached the end. To help ease into popping at our new location, we will not be making any cheese popcorn. I have temporarily removed it from the menu and hope to have it back on the menu by summer.

Looking forward to popping for you,

We're Moving!

Hi Popcorn Family! I have some exciting news to share. Our family and Aaron’s Popcorn will be moving to Springboro in October! Naturally, packing and moving will get in the way of my regular popping schedule. As a result, Wednesday September 27th will be my final pop of the season. I plan to start back up in the Spring of 2024 once life settles down and I’m all set up at the new location. If I can start popping sooner, I will let everyone know!

Thank you for all your support!

Beginning of Season Update!

Welcome back Popcorn Lovers! I have a couple things to update everyone on. First, I am frustrated to report that the cost increase of my ingredients continues to rise. The cheese ingredients was hardest hit this time. As a result, I have increased pricing for the menu items that use cheese. As for the cost increases for other flavors, I am working to buy those ingredients in larger volumes to offset this increase. This brings me to my next item: the auto-stirrer. For years I have made popcorn by hand with a wooden paddle. This has been good excerise and fun but lately with increasing order volume, is too demanding and leaving me exhausted. Our solution is a device that fits to the top of my kettle and does the stirring for me. I owe big thanks to my wife, Tami, for helping me with the design and creation of this solution. The auto-stirrer will hopefully be finished and in operation by April. It represents a significant investment in the future of Aaron's Popcorn and I hope an effective tool to make popcorn more efficiently and fight the rising cost of doing business.

Last Pop of the Season

Hello Popcorn Lovers! We thought we would try something new this year and pop in December. Thanks to my new large bags that I had custom made this summer, any small or large bag will stay fresh for at least 3 weeks. Also, each bag will have a holiday label on it (see below). My final pop of the season will be Wednesday, December 14th. I then plan to take at least January and Feburary off to work on improvements for the kettle. Thank you for all the support this year as I deal with a struggling supply chain and out of control prices.

Change of Menu Pricing

Hello Popcorn Lovers! It is no secret that the price of everything has been going up over the last year. Like so many other people and small businesses, I have been greatly affected by these rising prices. Most of my materials (such as propane and sugar) have doubled in cost and some (such as corn oil) have increased over 300%. I’m faced with the reality that either I increase my prices or close Aaron's Popcorn. Therefore, starting Wednesday August 31st, all large bags will increase by $1, medium bags by $0.50, and small bags by $0.25. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Beginning of Season Update!

Hello Popcorn Lovers! Thank you for patiently waiting for the start of the 2021 popcorn season. For those who have not heard, I am making a new, larger popcorn kettle to pop in. (SNEAK PEAK!) I hope to have it done by April. This bigger popper will help me keep up with demand and keep prices low. Speaking of prices, I have REDUCED the price of small and medium bags of Aaron's Mix and Chicago Mix. I have also INCREASED the size the medium bags I use. As always, your best value will be the large bags. Finally, my kids like collecting coins and we welcome any payments in the form of coins! Looking forward to seeing you.
